My GHB has a Ruger 10/22 Take Down with TechSights TSR200 sights and 550rds of ammo (stored in a 16oz Nalgene since rimfire is so moisture sensitive).

I always have a defensive handgun (9mm, 40SW, 45Acp, or 10mm) on my person.

The CCW takes care of staying "normal looking" but ready to defend. If things are really bad the rifle comes out. 550rds makes a strong defense too.
