I know what you mean, Unsub. I did a little comparison between the Guard and some of my other 7" knives. It edged out the Becker and RAT-7, but I felt that it should have stomped them. Since I reprofiled the edge, it does. I love it. One day I will find a Camp Tramp, and see if the YG holds its own against the legend. I think it will. The Hook is the same knife, except for the blade catch. Those SYK recurves are some great all around combat/utility/camp knives.
