The VTAC is alright, but I like my Mineral Mountain Hatchet better. I don't throw them though. The VTAC is better for throwing, but mine has a really rough pitted surface and the handle is kinda slippery. The MMH has a great grip, you can hold it anywhere and it feels perfect. I'm also starting to not like the spike, to much possibility of it biting you instead of the other guy.
