What are the coins made from?
Just curious <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

They are made of an antique silver alloy that are die struck not die cast. Die struck coins are created by designing two sides of the mold from solid steel. Then the mold sides close together essentially "stamping" the design into the raw metal surface. This is a more expensive process than casting. Die casted coins can actually break if you drop them because of tiny air pockets in the metal as a result of melting and pouring the metal it into molds.

I had them coated with an epoxy to insure good looks for a long time.

As with all things from ScrapYard it's all about performance to price ratio...even our challenge coins
