I prefer the totally neutral balance of the S6. I really like both knives, though. For me, the S6 just feels lighter and quicker. The M6 may be a better chopper because of its additional weight. I haven't tried it yet, so I am not sure. I am pretty sure that the S6 is the better value of the two.
