On Hawks:

IMO It is unfair to compare the CS vietnam hawk to other traditional throwing hawks because it has a hammer handle and not a hawk handle. The handle will work lose where a hawk handle will either come off or get tighter due to design. I also think the CS vietnam hawk has an inherently weak handle at the head. It was designed as a self defense tool not as a leisurely thrower.

I have heard the VTAC can be thrown all day without damage. I got one and tried it but felt the composite handle was too springy for my tastes. It does feal tough though.

Fort Turner is on my list to try. I have heard they have thinner blades than my favorite which is H&B forge in my home state www.hbforge.com. I can personally recommend H&B as being super tough and economical just like Scrap Yard. Their Shawnee has been my favorite thrower for over 15 years. I will try to post some pics later.
