It is not a bottle opener it is for catching an opponents blade in a knife fight.
It probably does not work much better than as a bottle opener though.
I like how the hook feels on my thumb and how it looks. It also works for tucking the knife into a shash.
Blades should'nt be used to cut through cinder block either, but if you got it, use it. I don't understand why you guys are having trouble with it as a bottle opener. That's one of the first things I did with when I got it, no mod or anything. Some of the crinkle coating came off on the first bottle, after that opens like a pro.
