I'm more of a collector than a user, Jerry. But I can tell you that the DF is one knife I won't part with. For me, the reason is simple. The DF represents the epitome of what Scrap Yard Knives stands for, "maximum performance to price ratio". It's the biggest, baddest knife I own. And I feel privileged to have one.

i'm just the opposite. All my knives are users. And I realized when I got the DF that really big blades just aren't my thing. I've no complaints about the DF, I broke even on the transaction when I resold it, and learned from the experience.

Medium sized blades, or unique blades are my soft spot. I'll never part with my RatMAnDu, S-6, Yard Guard, Crash Axe etc....
