The UK sucks when it comes to the right to own or carry weapons and the insane degree the PETA nitwits have control over the general populace. The UK also has a silly amount of surveillance which was supposed to stop major crime and terrorism but is mainly used against petty criminals or for revenue like ticketing.
It has had no effect statistically on any crimes.

The US is getting bad on everything but weapons though.
The US has almost as many cameras as the UK.
The Bush administration wants total access to all the person info of everyone flying over US even though
they don't ever touch US soil and has a quarter of the worlds prisoners but 1/16
of the population due to draconian and ineffective drug laws. In Holland where pot is legal they have half the users per capita than the US.

To me this is all the same issue. It is people giving up their personal rights and responsibility out of fear and governments and other large powerful organizations like the world bank(possibly the worlds most evil organization)using that fear against us. That's what I noticed about that awful website. It was totally based an making people afraid of crime and afraid to defend themselves. It also blames inanimate objects for the actions of the people who use them.
