rat finkenstien you make me feel lucky,i thought mine was kinda bad.i was battoning with a 5/16in thick cold steel ghurka kukri and chopped my finger.i was 2hrs from the hospital i was way back in the woods in the middle of the night all by myself with no med kit.i thought i broke it cause i couldnt move it.
i packed my gear hiked out and drove to the hospital.i cut the tendon about half way and got away without surgery, just some stitches.luckily i had some beer left, drove, hiked and got back to my camping spot about 4 am.
that was about a month ago.i almost have full movement and returned to full duty at work today.seeing yours makes me fell lucky.that 5/16in cold steel is a beast though and in=m lucky to have my finger.here i am back at camp after getting stitched up.
it dont look bad in this pic and it isnt, yet i can tell and feel that it wont quite be the same again.
i take blades much more seriouse now.
