Thanks for adding the G to the mix, Vic. It made my morning to see it at the top of the post list when I checked-in. As others have said, the results of your testing make me even more anxious for DMLE arrival... mine is "in the mail", as the saying goes! I plan for it to be a user and figured it would be about the perfect combo of size and ability for highly-mobile backcountry exploits. Add a CS light machete (which I also love) and a 3" folder and I'll be in great shape for NW brush bashing.
Sounds like a perfect combo. My old combo was a CS Kukri, Bucklite lockback, and SAK Recruit. But I am now too old and fat to be as "highly mobile" as I was.
But I still enjoy testing them out when I get a chance. The wood in my yard is the same as the wood in the Altamaha swamps. So many knives to test, so little time. Glad you enjoyed the comparison. Enjoy that new DMLE.
