It certainly does, Vic. But here in The Yard, at least, we're supposed to be able to pay the lowest price possible for legendary Busse steel. Problem is, the lowest price possible isn't possible as long as Dan keeps producing LEs.
That too. I was hoping to be able to get Swamp Rat quality, toughness and function at better prices...
Swamp Rat used to sell quite a few SATIN knives in D2 and SR101 with micarta, Res-C and Mudder grips at under $100 !!!!
One of my ongoing issues though is still that I don't believe "LE" blades should cost $50 - $60+ more. I have made my points about this. See line above where they used to sell "Complete" nice knives for barely more than the now up-charge for satin.
I DO prefer Satin blades.
DM at $69 seemed like a good deal. I say it was.
DMLE (finished knife) should have been about $79 - $85 tops. (IMO)
***** But, Scrap Yard sold them all..... So..... I loose. And I should probably shut up and get over it.
To me, it is a bad sign for me.
