I met a gentleman from the UK once who told me the best way to size up a man when you first meet them is to check out the watch they wear and the pen they use. His belief was that it is a great indicator of the individual, in most cases I have found him to be somewhat correct, at least in a business setting.

I don't wear a watch. The pen I use usually comes from the last hotel I stayed in. I am pretty sure that says "I'm cheap!" but it allowed me to save enough to buy a DFLE.
