Interesting comment, when my S6LE arrived my wife commented that I had bought a kitchen knive. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Which brings me to your comparison, I don't own an M6 but I obviously checked the S6 against my Weiler. Huge weight diference, the S6 is a very light and unassuming knive. The ResC handle is a dream, very comfortable and the blade is one fat piece of metal. Being a spring steel I'm sure it can handle lots of abuse.

When I get my sheath I will take it out hiking because it is a fairly big knive but lightweight. Micarta looks great and can be adapted better than ResC but the weight difference is there. I mean, check out the HRLM, love the knive, but it is heavier than the Howling Fat which surprised me.

The only thing that annoys me with ResC is the unusable lanyard hole, can't the Yard change the design so that the hole is not under the grip.

>1/4"+ kitchen knife!! wow your kitchen must have some BIG knives!!

HRLM is heavier than Howling Fat? wow i didn't know that! (don't have a Fat). The HRLM *does* feel pretty hefty in hand.. iirc someone weighed it in @ 9 oz.

Great impressions on the S6.. i'm jealous.. i gotta Get me one of those!
