Magnum22,
yup...pretty much how it goes with those and i hate having extra tools on a sak or multitool. for this reason my fav multitools are the leatherman Crunch (the vice-grip model) the leatherman kick (the minimalist model) and this winchester special i only see at walmart that costs $13 modeled on the gerber suspension without the locks, lanyard, scissors or any other junk i don't like to see on a multitool. it's also got a good bit set, spring loaded handles, and a pretty comfortable grip. i gave one as a gift but i want one myself. if you're gonna do real work, though, no multitool beats a loaded toolbox. for that matter, a pair of $3 chinese pliers and a 10-in-1 screwdriver are enough to beat most multitools. sak's rule, screw what the rags say!
Hmm.. i'll have to be on the lookout for that Winchester special next time i'm in Walmart, is there a model # or name?
Agreed.. favorite tool on my workbench is a simple Stanley multi-bit driver with bit storage in the handle. I use it ALL the time!
