T-Dog - Some time ago we had this discussion, and either Dan or Patti explained that the black-coated blades were kept sterile for those in the military who might carry them. The military supposedly dictates that equipment must not have markings on it to identify it as American. Hence, the only blades with the logo will be either special runs or Limited Editions. We did not have that concern when I was a grunt in VietNam, but I guess times and policies change.
I totally agree with you that the logo is awesome, and wish that it was on ALL of the Yard's blades, as do most of us!!! Also, the DogFather is so big that I seriously doubt many troops in the military would carry one - it's just too big! It is also one AWESOME chopper!
