I just finished a fabulous dinner of pickerel and buttered corn.
I love pickerl AKA walleye (they have a very flat eye) because they are incredibly delicious and have no bones. They are not that big compared to the Jack fish and trout. They rarley get over 20 pounds and are usually much less but boy are they good. I also like arctic greyling. They make an excellent rainbow trout seem tasteless.
2/3ds of Saskatchewan is covered by water so we have the best freshwater fishing in the world and some of the biggest stockpiles of fresh water. I am way to much of a wimp to go icefishing though.
Man this thread is making me hungry and very thirsty...time to raid the fridge
