The Yard Keeper CG is my first CG blade from Scrap Yard. All other knives have been LE models. Let me start off by stating that the knife seems ideal for my everyday outdoor needs. I think my Rat Cutlery RC-3 may see limited use now. I do have a question about the fit and finish of the CG configured knives.

My Keeper has a gap on one side where the blade enters the handle. I am able to stick a toothpick over 1/4” into this gap. The handle/blade fitting of my LE blades seems flawless. I would not be that concerned if the Keeper had a stainless blade. The coating should inhibit rust, but over time, I think the coating will wear.

Do the CG knives typically have finish problems like this?
