I wasn't personally able to get a YKCG, I was away from my computer when it all went down way faster than expected. When I came back to order they were gone.

Tough knives or not, I have a little issue with expecting a certain minimum amount of quality control and aesthetics in my knives. I don't know what the gap looks like, but I could see being bothered by such a gap.

The YKCG was arguably a good price. But, not so cheap that I would easily blow off a basic proper fit of a handle.


.... No disrespect to the earned respect for Ranger knives and their performance "abilities", but unless Jason has made some significant changes is his finish quality, the Ranger blades I have seen/handled were not so finely finished in my book.
