Not much more news, but here’s an update. Now they’re saying he’s only getting 20% of the blood through his heart that he should. We were told that in his current state, they estimate he could live a couple more months. He’s on a medicine that’s helping him improve, but they said he couldn’t stay on it long and it was toxic to his body. When Mom and Dad visited him, they called me on the cell so he could talk to me. He said he was alright, and proud of me for coming back to college because he was afraid I’d never end up going back to finish. Later Mom told me he was shaking so hard when he was holding the phone she was surprised I couldn’t hear it rattle. He’s been doing physical therapy to help him get stronger. He likes to joke around and is called “ornery” by a lot of people. Even though it’s hard for him to get his breath to talk, Mom said an old man went by his door with a walker, and he yelled to him “Hey young man! No running in the halls!” and the old man said back “I don’t think I could if I wanted to.” He always tries to be funny and make people laugh, even in as bad of shape as he is. I think that’s about all the news I can think of right now.
