IMO, there are two darn near perfect knives that have been made by Scrap Yard - and I am VERY picky. YES, before I get thrashed, there are a lot of GREAT knives from Scrap Yard. I just feel these are IMO the two best and the hardest to find any faults with (IMO). <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />
* Ironically, they make a great combo! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
1) The DFLE - Perfect marriage of SUPER tough steel in a blade that is designed to take super abuse. 10" blade full height grind, satin finished, powerful yet nimble and balanced in the hande and with the great Res-C handle that is comfortable and aids in balance and feel of the over-all knife! This knife is VERY hard to improve upon! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />
2) The SS4 - LUCKY for us Dogs to get the INCREDIBLE INFI steel with one of the best blade designs in a smaller knife that I have seen from Busse. Perfect shape and size for a 4" knife IMO and with a perfectly placed and sized choil with my favorite Mudder grips for smaller knives. The SS4 and the Bog Dog are the only two Mudder grip knives and the best balance with size and placement of usable finger choils. IMO, most other smaller Scraps and Rats could use some tweaks in the guard and choil areas. But, the SS4 is about perfect. The only reason for me that the SS4 ranks below the DFLE is black coating. I removed my coating, but it is too hard to get the deep pits around the ricasso. However, I think it still looks very nice with a little (eh hem.... LOT) of work:

Now we just need to Scrap- Weiler. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
