Right, pitman. If you wanted a knife similar to the YK but with micarta scales, the HRLM or one of the Bark Rivers would do, but not the RD4. I see you found a Ratmandu. That is one of my favorites, like a thinner Dumpster Mutt with micarta or G10 scales. Having said that, there is nothing wrong with the RD4. Its a great camp knife. It is just a bit bigger and heavier than most folks realize.
