Having been a former sergeant in the AF, I just figured the NCOs ran the Army, too. Officers command and lead (if they are worth a darn). Let the sergeants run the units and train the junior officers who need their experience and expertise, and it all works well. When I was a kid, my dad was a Chief in the Navy. I thought he ran the whole Navy! Glad you are a platoon sergeant. That's a heck of a responsibility. I wish you success. I am grateful that there are still young men willing to make the sacrifices that are required to defend this nation.
