1. Clean stripped and buffed blade with alcohol, incuding tang and ricasso.
2. Apply Birchwood-Casey Perma-Blue with 0000 steel wool.
3. Allow to darken to desired color.
4. Wash off.
5. To go from blue to gray, apply WD-40 with another piece of steel wool.
6. Wipe clean, touch up edge, if desired.
