I had to vote for the RMD.

But, honestly, even though there are a significant number of similarities, the RMD is different enough in over-all size to classify as a different knife and not a variation (IMO).

A lot of people think the DM and RMD have the same blade length and if you measure from the handle material, it is real close. But, this is not a realistic way to compare blade lengths with these two knives. The Res-C doesn't extend very far onto the tang whereas the micarta on the RMD extends a lot further - making how you calculate blade length very different from reality in this case. If you measure from the back side of the guard by the index finger and change the term to "blade reach", the RMD actually has about 0.4375" longer blade "reach".
And with a longer handle, the RMD is almost 1.0" longer oal.

RMD OAL: 10.4375"
DMCG: 9.45"


If not for the RMD, I would have voted for the DMCG - mainly because it is unique - fat and thick. Otherwise, RMD hands down. Sorry Yard.
