Yes it is!!! I'll take it no matter what color the handle is.

Personally, honestly, the color isn't my favorite. I just like simple ole' plain black for Res-C.

On some micarta's, I sometimes like some of the "darker" natural brown micarta or sometimes even green canvas. But, green only on micarta. I don't tend to care for green in any other knife material I know of.

Some of the Tiger-Hide Busse knives look spectacular "IF" buffed up to a nice satin or better finish.

But, Plain, Simple, Solid, Black is Classic for me - especially on Res-C and G10. And I don't tire of classic or Black.

But, as Jeff said: "no matter". I love the "feel", shape, size, etc. of mudders. So, I know I will like it in the hand.
And I love the blade, shape, size, proportions and everything else about the knife. So, I can live with the handle color (even if I would prefer black).

I have seen quite a few pics of "Muddy" Camp Tramp and Battle Rats. I don't know what you call that color. It isn't quite tan IMO, but sort of. I definately wouldn't call it gray. Maybe Putty or taupe or something (????????).

JYD #39 I prefer "SATIN" blades!!!
