I would rather see the price around $175 to $200 tops.

I didn't buy an AK-47 for a reason - I wanted one, but WAY too expensive for me.

The Bark River Northwind out of 0170-6 with micarta handle and my Bark River Golok could be had for around $125 - $175 when first released. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I have to try to keep things in perspective. I don't really have much use for this. I just want one.

For practical purposes, this competes with $15 - $20 machetes - any way you slice it. And cheap machetes get the job done quite well.

Heck, I have a VERY nice polished Cheness - Kaze Katana - 9260 with clay hardened Hamon and Tameshigiri polish. It is tough and capable of being a very tough and functional user. I paid around $150.

I also have a Criswell Wakazashi that is pretty nice that I purchased for around $125.

So, while I would love a Scrap Yard SR-77 short sword with about a 15" - 17" blade, I can't justify $300+

$175 - $200 for me or I have to pass.

JYD #39 I prefer "SATIN" blades!!!
