That sucks Jerry.

The one thing I have learned after spending time in Corporate America (never been gubment employee) is that doing your job well does not equate to success. I have been through 7 or 8 rounds of layoffs in as many years and it's not something that's fun to deal with. 2 jobs ago my company would announce layoffs 3 to 6 months in advance which caused chaos and stress that was just not right. Especially for us single family income folks.

The one thing I do know is there there are company's and managers that do have their heads out of their butts and do appreciate someone who is good at what they do. These opportunities are few and far between it seems as Corporate America continues to screw the common worker, but they do exist and staying positive is key.
