For a big chopper, SR-77's toughness would be ideal. If you need to do light work, I would say that neither knife would really be a great tool to use. If you're slashing vegetation and limbing trees, something like Ontario's RTAK-II would be ideal, if not a regular machete.

My RTAKs used to be my favorite bowies for just that reason, I could slash vegetation with them. Then came the DFLE. It can chop and slash. But the DF CG is a fine chopper.
