hey all

was talking with a couple of mates over some beers and we were trying to come up with five requirements that the ideal knife should have . .. just wondering what you guys might choose... here are my five

1) can pry open a car (via the roof or door) .. this also covers lots of entry scenarios inc house doors, getting ou of attics etc awithout sustaining edge damage r warpage

2) can chop off an arm/leg or limb a tree ..

3) can pierce through metal or body armour etc again without sustaining edge damage r warpage

4) blade sharp enough to skin an animal or for slicing type motions in MBC

5) comfortable enough for continuous usage over a long period of time

sneakily i would add that the blade must be easy to resharpen.. whaddya guys reckon . the dogfather seems to fit the bill although it may need a penetrator tip .. roll on the next batch

cheers

Number 3 Metal OK but to peirce body armor? why bother if you can already remove arms legs etc... I think the Battle of visby is a good illustration of working around armor.

Other than the above your spot on the DF fits the bill.
