I did talk to pitman a while ago about about the DMCG and he said he didn't like the handles, which is why he wrapped it, but I find the handles perfect. It is small so if you got bear sized hands, you might want to look into the RMD. I forget to mention price as well, you could find a DMCG for about $110 vs. $200 for the RMD.

Both are excellent knives! I ended up with the DMCG, because the price was right, handles fit perfect, and the thing is indestructible.

Oh and I really like the balance of the DMCG. The balance point is right by the finger guard, so if I'm doing stuff like chopping, the extra front weight helps. If I shift my hands forward and grip the choil, it balances perfectly for finer tasks.
