I would buy Scrapyard scissors.

Swords are sort of exotic rather than actual using tools so they suit Busse more than Scrapyard.

Also the market is flooded with both crappy and excellent swords from China.

Ninhonto (real katanas) were very sharp but also very hard and brittle. Western swords did not take as good an edge but would bend rather than break.
The japanese sword is probably the most over rated weapon ever. Western swords were far better. Even Japans greatest swordsman Musashi got his 2 sword style from watching Portugese traders with a rapier and dagger.

A DFLE would break a ninhoto probably the first time they hit.
