The size of the mudder handle is why the SS4 is not my companion to the DFLE.
It is to big for a piggyback sheath. The HC is that same blade size but a very nice g10 handle. It is heavier than the mudder.
The Mudder is kind of like the Gerber Gator handle or the CRKT Cascade.
Comfortable ,secure but bulky. I EDC my SS4 but strapped to my backpack not on my person. It is a great system for summer when I carry my pack everywhere but I use a smaller knife in winter because I only wear the pack while riding the motorbike.
I like a neck knife or something that can be tossed in my pocket. Last winter it was my Chinook3 or Police folder.
Funny how my favourite scrappers were the smallest(SS4 although now the Muppy is smaller)and the largest the DFLE. As far as I am concerned those 2 knives are the top of the Scrapyard line. The S6LE would be in here but I am pouting because I don't have one.
