Went against some oak branches today. Initial impressions? Oak beats up on the crinkle pretty good, the toe of the main edge rolled ever so slightly. The CA tends to want to fly out of the hand when striking objects on a horizontal plane. This is with both bare hands and leather gloves. But then again, this is an entry axe meant to be used against doors, windows and objects on a vertical plane. Accumulated dirt and debris within the grooves of the G-10 only serve to reduce overall grip and control. Rougher, deeper textured grooves would help. Shorter and more compact than I had envisioned, even with manufacturer dimensions clearly called out. All in all, my fave Bussekin buy thus far <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> .
Overall size and length compared to a Polarion PH50...
