Have you joined the flashlight uprising and switched over to all LEDs? I've got a 1-watt 2AA Mag over here. LEDs didn't impress me much back when they first started pushing the things for flashlights, but now all our lights have LEDs in them. The smoothness of the output, their durability, and the run time just blows me away. We've got one with a 5 watt bulb and that thing is supremely intense.
Yeah. My Maglite is a 3 watt 2xAA LED. I also have another 3 Watt 3xAA, and a Brinkman 3xAAA 3 watt, and a bunch of dimmer ones as well.
