I had an 88 F350 with a 460 that was me in truck form.
It was a dually with a standard and a big dumping flatbed with a removable grainbox that was so thick it could stop multiple .303 rounds (I checked).
I drove it to school and it was 5$ a day. It started without plugging in in -50 weather after sitting in a snowbank for a week. It had no carpet ,headliner ,radio
or synchronisers in the tranny but it did have a hydralik dumper ,dana 70 rear and a 5 speed tranny with a good overdrive gear stock wheels and tires that came up to my waist and huge and beautiful 4 barrel holley carb on the last stock carbed big block ever.
That engine was beautiful. I ewas looking for a reliable half ton and when the lady with this truck for sale popped the hood all sense and restraint totally left me. It could spin those HUGE duallys without even trying in the first 2 gears.
My neighbours had moved in with their half ton and it took them 11 trips ,I lent them my truck to move out and it took one and their was lots of room left.
It was more like a military 5 and a half ton than a pick up.
I would still have it but when I moved back into town my Mom and grandmother pulled rank and made me sell it and my camo Ranger 4X4 because they were to ugly. Thy don't much like the old 65 Ford musclecar on the lawn either.
Man you make me laugh some times with the mental images you conjure in my head.
