I have a Wildcat somewhere in the garage. Gotta constantly wax your string for best results. Heh, gets me to thinking how long I have been into weaponry, including crossbows. Used to drive 100 miles round-trip every month for custom bolts. And yes, I used to cut shurikens out of sheet metal and pretend I was a ninja <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> .

I've always found that any bow, be it recurve, compound, or a crossbow (recurve or compound) should always have the string waxed, to help prevent wearing on the string, and help for a smooth release when firing. It also protects the string from bad weather, although this point is usually dependent on what your string is made from.
