Scariest thing ever some of the guys talk about was when we were overseas. First couple weeks we were in Afcrackistan, 8 people to a tent, so we all hear each other while we're sleeping.

Everyone is trying to get acclimated to the weather, the noise, the conditions, etc. I'm noticing my tentmates seem pretty tired all the time, so I mention to them they should get to bed earlier, and let their bodies adjust to the time change and all that jazz. They give me this scared look, and just say,"Uh, yeah, maybe we'll do that."

So, about two weeks later, they're all still looking pretty much like the living dead, and the Warrant Officer comes up to me and asks if I've had enough fun scaring the crap out of my tentmates! I look at him, completely confused, and ask what the heck he's talking about??

First night there, they apparently thought I was crying in my sleep. As they're laying there, trying to get to sleep and figure what to do with this "weakling", they come to the realization that I'm not crying, I'm giggling; and not like a silly little girl, but like that guy in the movies, who's just lost all sanity and killed off all his mates, you know!?! This has been going on for about a week and a half before they decide to involve the chain of command, because they're afraid I'm dreaming of getting the chance to kill them in their sleep! LOL! I couldn't believe it; sure, this was the first time I'd served with this guys outside of the home unit and all, but I figured they'd know me a little better than that!

So the Warrant shakes his head, tells me to go see the medics, and get some sleeping pills that'll hopefully knock me into a deep enough sleep that I'm not terrifying the guys with my "night giggles". They worked; I was late a few times to shift because the pills were so strong, but the Warrant let it slip, since it was allowing the others to adjust to me and get some sleep as well!

What do you think?? I never knew I was a night giggler! LOL!
