RS,

CG is not a "toughness" designation.

CG is a "Finish" designation.

Any blade with a coating, regardless of color is "Combat Grade" (meaning (?????):

- coated so not "shiny" for combat (many military personal don't want reflective glare from their gear)

and/or

- lesser quality finish grade than satin, but suitable enough for combat

and/or

- coated to protect blade from elements so you don't have to worry about it in combat = lower maintenance

...., etc..

------------------------

CG = Coated blade

CE = Competition Edge (unofficially)

LE = Satin finish (some LE's are numbers and some are not)

Hope that helps. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
