I guess plan on having CB (high-tech) technology for a back-up and make sure those you need to reach also have and can be reached via CB ..... or something (????)
You might want to look into getting a HAM license. Now-a-days you don't have to learn Morse Code. You can talk around the world independently, w/o having to depend on someone else to communicate. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
