You mention Austin where you lived before. My cousin in Austin said they got no rain and just a little blow with no damage. Same for me here in the FL panhandle. Around here the lines for gas start days before a potential hit and empty the pumps. One thing I've read regarding cell phones is that in times of emergency the traffic overwhelms the circuits, but texting takes less bandwidth and you are much more successful at texting. Hang in there man!
