What I don't see as sensible though is the HUGE mark up people ask for these and other "useful" sized Infi which is no longer available....why pay $600+ on the secondary market for one of these when a Skinny Ash or even an Ash LE can be had for far less? Even a FSH can be had for less than a SNFO and the FSH's are heavily priced up on the Exchange. A Chopweiler would probably do all tasks just as well....particularly when one of the custom jobs had the tip break and the grip pins fall out with "moderate" Busse type use. Chopweiler's were fetching $200-$250....it makes them look real bargains in comparison....

You can see the same problem of over pricing with the SHSJ's....SH here being "straight handle"....they also have prices in the $600+ mark...

For that sort of money I would go for a custom knife....infact I have done....a Jerry Hossom Massive Retribution in SV30....the blade length, design and weight tick all the boxes for me...it is bigger but lighter than a DFLE and WILL come fully finished with an etched cammo blade and a razor sharp convex edge....

Busse's like the SFNO and SHSJ at factory prices are the only way to buy these knives....in comparison my $120 for a DMDC on the exchange compared to the recent shop offering price is high but not exhorbitant....the knife is worth that sort of money....ditto for a DFLE at $300....there are no real comparable knives available at this sort of money...not with the same features....with the exception maybe for an alternative Swamprat knife in Res C....but when you start to go really high on prices like these after market Busse's you open up a whole world of specialist custom competition and these are often more able to give you exactly what you want.
