I guess I'm a bit different than most in that I like the "instant gratification" of receiving what I order in the same week I make payment. I have difficulty committing to waiting for weeks, even months, between placing an order and receiving it. That's why I often accept the more limited options offered in the Busse Company Store in favor of placing orders on the Busse Combat site.
That being said, I also recognize the business advantages of knowing how many units to make at the front of a production run instead of guessing when the pile is tall enough to release. Hopefully, there may still be some dog bowl action on military overruns for an occasional steel-on-demand fix. It'll be interesting to see if comments about the good old days of cash and carry orders are made while people wait for their knives.
