It wasn't a matter of did I want this knife or not... it was a matter of finding the cash for the purchase! LOL!
I had the alternator and starter in the truck die; real nice bit of luck there!
Then I had the sump pump in my basement die with no warning, sure enough, during a huge rainstorm. I came downstairs to find the basement flooded. Had to replace the pump, my carpeting, a whole lot of Gyroc, plaster and paint it back up all pretty like... just in time for the car to start acting up.
I had some work done on the car back in July, and apparently the mechanic reconnected some of the power cable harness wrong. It caused to much current to be flowing to the wrong areas, melted the sheathing off of the cable, damaged the alternator, melted the battery housing around the positive post, and damaged part of the firewall from electrical arcing.
I'm currently paying for the repairs out of my own pocket; rest assured, I'll be taking them to court for reimbursement. When I approached them about all this, with a statement from the new mechanics I had the car towed to, they said it wasn't their problem, that this was in no way related to the work they did. The statement even says that whoever last worked on the car, reconnected the cable wiring harness back up wrong! Gods, they say bad luck comes in threes, so hopefully this is the end of it!
I had some room on my credit card, so I ordered two of the Tans (One user, one "pretty queen"! LOL!). I seem to be suffering from the allure of the Tans.... next thing you know, all my knives will be ordered this way! I need to relieve some stress from the recent bad luck; sounds like I'll be doing some drinking of some Canadian beer during the nights, and doing some deer hunting during the weekend days! A venison steak would be really awesome this weekend to make me feel better!
