DotD, it's not so much that it looked like the Yard Guard, but that it seems similar to it. The lengths are identical, and the profiles, other than the recurve on the Yard Guard are about the same. At first I didn't know if I could justify buying it. After all, when the Yard Guard and Hook came out, they seemed to be described as heavy duty do-it-all blades. The SOD now seems like a better do-it-all blade. Anyway, the important thing is that I did order one and am trying to patiently wait like everyone else here!
Yes, the operative word is "patiently".
I've pretty much written off getting the SOD before Christmas now. There
isn't much hope that even if it shipped Monday, that it would be able to
clear Customs in Canada and be here before the 25th. Not with Christmas mail
and Christmas Customs waits. I'm now optimistically hoping that I will be able
to see it sometime before mid-January. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
Sadly, not much cheer here.
