SR77

this one is for the blade steel itself.the foundation of the whole scrapyard line......SR77.

just perfect in my opinion when brutal strength and "performance to price ratio" are the goal.

while i might choose a DOZIER in D2 steel to cut up an elk i would choose a scrapyard knife for anything that required balls.

nothing fits the term "sharpened prybar" better than a scrapyard knife.lately in some areas of the cutlery world or wilderness & survival communities/forums the term "sharpened prybar" is considered an insult and used in a derogatory way.

1/4 inch thick knives are sometimes picked on,accused of being worthless due to poor edge geometry and being to thick, stereotyped as the choice of mall ninjas, armchair commandos and just unskilled woodsman and that they have no place in the world of cutlery.well my reply is.......dont get me started!!!

bottom line is just look at the pics of the CGDF getting bant in half with the help of a cheater bar and the impacts the S6 took on knifetests.com.
