We banned Disney in our house when our kids were growing up. The anthropomorphism shown in Disney films has a strong (IMO, negative) effect on young, impressionable viewers and is in serious conflict with the real Mother Nature. We weren't so draconian with stuffed toys, pets and what not but I definitely did not want to reinforce the Disney "wild animals are our friends" mantra any more than necessary.
