Thanks for all the input on the decision.
I went to the gun store and held both of them and loved them both.
They even had a 1895G in Stainless Steel which looked and felt great.

In the end it came down to money. The Remington 870 was $200 cheaper
and that is what carried the day.

They have a lay-away plan, so I have officially put on lay-away,
a 870 "EXPRESS COMBO" with a 20" Fully Rifled Deer Barrel & 26"- Vent
Rib Barrel

Again, my thanks to all who gave me their opinions pro and con on both
models.
Should have it before Christmas, so when I get it, pictures will be
forthcoming.
