It's sunny and about 57F. Much too nice a day to spend inside watching TV and getting even fatter. It was in the 30s this morning, but it looks nice out now.
So I went for a little 4 mile walk in the woods. Very slowly, I might add.

It's a nice little nature trail about 3 miles from my house.

Way down at the end of this road is a downed Juniper tree. I thought I'd make me another walking stick from it.

It's around here somewhere.

Ah, here it is. Today, I brought my little Fiskars pocket saw.

Then I came upon this clump of bamboo. Light, strong, straight, smooth, and free for the taking. Walking sticks aplenty!

I wandered by this old building foundation. Something from the old CCC Camp in the 1930s.

And this concrete lined pit. Maybe an old ammo storage bunker or something.

I stopped for a rest at the usual campsite. I'm travelling light today (for a 300lb man), no fixed blades.

On the way back I spotted this perfect walking stick for my ex mother-in-law.

Then back to the Jeep and home. It's been a nice quiet day.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
