My MPLE was not very sharp when I bought it however it didn't need to be profiled. After reading many posts and deciding on methods of sharpening I easily touched it up and is scary sharp now. I am playing with several sharpening methods and working my way up to the sander in the future.Maybe one day I can do the work that Vic- Tolly and others do- but I am trying to learn the basics for now. The 154 for awhile was at the bottom of my list of favorites- now it is right up at the top. I am absolutely thrilled with the new offering. Being 154 and that type of blade is going to make it probably the best utility knife I have <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> !! The only bummer is now I have to wait.
